Give Well.

Make a Difference.

A future where every Tāmaki Makaurau community is strong and thriving.

With your generosity, we can make a positive, impactful difference for Aucklanders.

Living well in Auckland

Every Aucklander should have a sense of whanaungatanga in our city. Access to good food and housing, feeling safe, and being able to earn a living are basic rights that we want all Aucklanders to enjoy.

Nurturing tomorrow’s Aucklanders

All tamariki and rangatahi deserve a happy, healthy and safe family life, support and access to good education and opportunities.

Actively enjoying our environment

We recognise and value Te Ao Māori and the principles of kaitiakitanga. Enjoyment of our beautiful natural environment takes many forms. We want to foster the love and active care of the environment so all Aucklanders have experience of our whenua/land, moana/ocean and awa/waterways.

Celebrating our talents, diversity and heritage

Māori are tangata whenua and we are committed to a Treaty based relationship where people actively participate in shaping their communities. Our city is rich with artistic talent, built on a huge diversity of cultures and experience. Through artistic expression we are all story tellers, all better able to understand one another.

There are many different ways you can give through Auckland Foundation to support this vision.

You can start with a small gift, or large, or you can leave a bequest in your Will.

Regular giving can quickly build up to something substantial, and you can even add your gift to those of other generous Aucklanders. Collective giving, such as giving circles, are an easy and fun way to pool resources to have a bigger impact.

Whether you, your family or your organisation are thinking about setting up a Fund, or you wish to support one of our existing Funds, we can help you shape and plan your giving.

For businesses, we are an efficient and effective option for staff giving schemes and corporate community granting.

We can also support existing charitable trusts who need help meeting their charitable purpose or are concerned about long-term sustainability and succession planning.

We’d love to connect with you and talk about your giving needs.

Case Study: Giving back for good business

In 2007, Alex Chang started a mobile repair shop in Henderson, West Auckland. Today OmniTech has 28 mobile phone repairs and accessories stores across Aotearoa.

Continuing to remain 100% New Zealand-based and operated, OmniTech has a strong belief in giving back to and supporting the community. The recently launched OmniTech Academy is an initiative that provides Auckland students of any age with the opportunity to upskill and gain a Mobile Repairs Training Course certificate.

However the Covid-19 pandemic, and the huge challenges this has brought to New Zealand businesses, families and communities, has led to OmniTech to look at a new way of giving back.

Managing Director Alex Chang says “We recognise there are many challenges facing our local communities as a result of Covid-19, particularly for our most vulnerable. In times like this, those of us with the means to do so should be giving back to the communities that have supported us over the years.”

“OmniTech is delighted to partner with Auckland Foundation to support its Covid-19 Community Response Fund, and support local charities in the communities where our customers and employees work and live throughout New Zealand, from Auckland to Dunedin.”

“We appreciate Auckland Foundation’s assistance with identifying the greatest needs faced by local communities and advising us on how best to direct our giving to maximise impact. Our company’s commercial success has given us the opportunity to make a difference in the local communities we are part of. We look forward to a long-term partnership with Auckland Foundation and the local charities they work with.”

OmniTech is donating $1 for every OmniLife anti-bacterial phone screen protector sold to the Covid-19 Community Response Fund, a Fund established by the Auckland Foundation in April to direct public generosity to help those at risk and most in need.
