Why leave a legacy
There are many reasons people choose to leave a bequest. Some people have been active philanthropists during their lifetime and want to ensure their philanthropy carries on in perpetuity.
Other people have not been able to give as much as they would like during their lifetimes, so in death, after recognising their families, they leave a gift, usually a percentage their estate.
