Gulf Guardians

What is Gulf Guardians?

Gulf Guardians is a way for you to become involved in the regeneration of the Hauraki Gulf. It is a sustained community giving programme made up of those who care about the Gulf and want to contribute in a high impact way to it’s regeneration.

The programme has 2 components, a giving programme and a partnership programme. By becoming a Gulf Guardian, you or your school/business/organisation is making a commitment and contribution to reaching our goal of regenerating the Hauraki Gulf and ensuring it is thriving for generations to come.

Become a Gulf Guardian to lead the turning of the tide in Tāmaki Makaurau’s Hauraki Gulf. See how below

Become a Gulf Guardian

Crayfish

A three-year giving programme

Would you, your family or your classmates like to support the efforts to save the Hauraki Gulf? To become a Crayfish, Paua or Scallop Gulf Guardian, make a 3-year commitment to one of these options:

Join 'Scallop' Gulf Guardians: $50 per month

Join 'Paua' Gulf Guardians: $200 per month

Join 'Crayfish' Gulf Guardians: $400 per month

At each of the above levels you can choose if your contribution supports:

• Regenerating the waterways and wetlands of the Hauraki Gulf, or

• Regenerating the mussel reefs of the Hauraki Gulf, or

• Anything that is helping regenerate the Hauraki Gulf

Gulf Guardians sees donated funds support the work of our implementation partners Sustainable Business Network and Revive Our Gulf in their work to regenerate the Hauraki Gulf's waterways, wetlands and mussel reefs.

For more in depth information on the projects that the Gulf Guardians programme and the Hauraki Gulf Regeneration Fund in general contribute to, as well as our advisory panel, please read more here.
