Auckland Foundation & AUT Foundation Partnership
On Wednesday 7 May 2025, Auckland Foundation and the Auckland University of Technology Foundation (AUT Foundation) co-hosted a dinner function to celebrate the official launch of our new philanthropic partnership, Transforming Lives Through Education – A Partnership for Auckland’s Future. Held at AUT’s City Campus, the evening brought together civic leaders, donors, alumni and friends.
Guest speakers included Rob Campbell, Chair of AUT Foundation, AUT Vice-Chancellor Professor Damon Salesa and Garth Sinclair, Chair of Auckland Foundation. All of the speeches highlighted how this alignment between the two organisations’ fits perfectly into both of our core missions: for a thriving Tāmaki Makaurau. Through thoughtful giving, this partnership has the ability to create intergenerational change within the education sector in Auckland.
Rob Campbell has said of the partnership:
“AUT Foundation is pleased to work alongside partners such as Auckland Foundation to keep widening access and opportunity for our communities. As a civic university, AUT is dedicated to contributing to the innovative strength and prosperity of Tāmaki Makaurau-Auckland and Aotearoa New Zealand.”
The partnership is looking to build the future by investing in education, innovation and sustainability. Funds will be channelled into four key priority areas:
- Innovation
- Next Generation
- Pathways to Education
- Migrant and Refugee Pathways to Education
Thank you to Auckland University of Technology Foundation and AUT for hosting what was a fantastic evening, leaving guests positive and excited for what is to come.
